INSEAD and HBS are the top B-schools in the world which are usually seen competing with each other for the #1 position. Both the schools attracts aspirants and companies across the globe. While seeking the perfect business school, there are various characteristics one has in mind. Here are some key features which will help you to interpret : Is INSEAD a better business school than HBS?

Both the schools have an impeccable quality of education and have their own brand values globally. Although, HBS is restricted in the geographical boundaries of US, INSEAD has its branches in France, Singapore, Abu Dhabi and San Francisco. Whereas, brand name of HBS is quite popular than that of INSEAD.

A full time MBA program in HBS can cut upto $146,880 from your bank account. Meanwhile, HBS can provide you with MBA programs costing €82,000. The difference is quite vast.

HBS holds second rank in National University rankings and tops the Ivy League schools. Nonetheless, ranked as best Global business school by CEO World Magazine and also gained the first position in 2016 and 2017 in ranking of the Financial Times, INSEAD continues to give tough competition to HBS. 
Apart from these factors, another important factor is the placement facility. We all could agree that after attending B-schools which are so tough on the pocket, a good placement is very necessary. Else, our investments would not matter. And as Harvard has better brand global recognition than HBS, it has better placement opportunities. If you search top 50 companies around the world, half of them are American and Harvard undoubtedly, have good connection with them as well as other non-American fortune 500 companies. On the other hand, INSEAD does offer good placement opportunities but HBS tops INSEAD in placement aspects.
